Just took the E55 on an 800 mile road trip and she preformed flawlessly.
This is def one of the best cars for the money hands down. Comfortable, roomy, powerful, and classic body style. Here are a few dash pics from the trip.

I have never seen mileage that high. What was your cruising speed. AC on or off. Best I've seen is around 25 mpg.

I was doing 80+ with the A/C on. Without the A/C and going slower I might have been closer to 30 mpg.

If Im on a straight open road i can get 25-26 mpg tops. The stop and go traffic threw New York is a killer.. All my numbers are with the A/C on.

What the mileage and tire size on these cars getting over 26mpg?

I am at 118k when I took that picture I was running 245/40/18 all around on non-staggered w211 wheels

Sheesh, that was couple years ago, pretty sure it was a mix of a/c & windows+ventilated seats. I was carpooling with somebody towing a trailer so we maintained a constant speed of 65-70 the entire way.

That was with the factory tire sizes & around 145k on the clock.
