WTB W210 E55
Hi Everyone
New to this forum but have been lurking over the years. Come from owning mostly BMW's (2 e30's, e46M, e90 335i, recently a MINI) but have had plenty of Mercedes throughout the years in the family. Ive always been looking at a c32/c55 which i still may be, but ultimately would like and prefer a w210 e55 (facelift if possible)
Black/Black is ideal but Silver would not be a deal breaker. Ideal budget is somewhere in the 5k-7k range. Obviously maintenance records is a plus, and i know they are now older cars so high mileage does not scare me... just somewhat worried more about the 180k+ mile ones

Mine has over 200k miles and runs like a champ. I would not hesitate to jump in and drive across the country.; in fact, I do use my E55 as my long distance car when I travel for work. Could not be happier with it.

i definitely see that. As I’ve done my research too I know these cars are tanks and pretty much bulletproof for what you get and what’s comparable... I’ve just had some bad experiences with looking at some high mileage ones that weren’t taken care of. If it’s got the proof and records I have no worries about mileage.

Given the amount of recent maintenance this guy did, it was too hard to pass up.
2000 Silver E55 with 163,xxx Black Interior
Owner put all new brakes and rotors, new plugs and coils, valve cover seals, new bushings, ball-joints, motor mounts, etc.
Interior was near mint for its age and everything works electronically which is a plus - also came with NAVI which is cool but i'll probably swap that out.
Cool thing was the owner of this works at a Certified Dinan shop, didn't know this until we pulled up to the address and that gave me a feeling that this car was gonna be pretty immaculate. After seeing 4-5 all around in my area and driving countless hours to find out they're all unfortunately torn up and not well maintained... this was a sight to see thankfully.

yes im pretty happy with it. Needs a little TLC here and there but can’t conplain for how clean and wel kept it is for its age. Although I already had to go and swap out a brake light switch yesterday which is still giving me issues, and seeing what my options are to swap out the NAV Command system. Double Din seems doable from searching with the exception of filling in the gaps since the Command system is a little larger than most double din screens?

For double din I have been looking at one of these

ive been kinda looking into this but I have to go measuring stuff a because all the searching is bringing up old threads and obviously sizing and din options have changed since then including the plastic trim piece that fills in the gaps since our opening on the NAV is bigger than a standard DOuble Din if I’m stating that correctly?

I need to measure my trim piece to make sure it will fit. I was going to get one from ebay but like you said I would have to find something to fill the gap around it. The Seicane unit is supposed to fit without needing any special trim.
