I think "P1817-3" related to bad gear shifter selector switch.!~!.,,
prefer to use (MB/SDS) to rest the whole faults, then can figure out the next step..!?!?

Well the ESM was just replaced as a whole unit. Maybe there is a bad power pin? Does the power for the reverse lamps run threw the ESM or does the ESM act as a relay.

Out Of Control!!
WAFJ, you have a 4 grand scanner and you can't understand the diagnostics,like I say throw the scanner in the river and go get a hot dog at any MB dealer!

listen dude, I work for Ford, If there is a ford problem I have access to all the ford knowledge. This is a Mercedes not a ford, So if your not going to be helpful, dont insert your input as your not helpful and frankly your being a unnecessary ***.
