Trans...again....

So I got everything back together, new fluid, conductor plate, filter, gasket torqued all to spec. May den voyage, going threw gears fine, shifting fine no issues, all gear fine, S and W fine. 50% throttle fine.
WOT- Fail, came out of gear, free spinning, no power from engine to wheels, feels like trans is in neutral. While rolling, went from N to D, still feels in neutral.
Parked car put it in P and back into D, drives fine. 50% THROTTLE shifts fine, as soon and you WOT she comes out of gear and feels like she is in N. Have to stop and go from P to D.
Fluid Level okay, no codes pending.....hmmmm Okay mary.
Drive for 50 miles, no issues. WOT Back into neutral, p0700 and p0715, but the conductor plate is new......so why is she saying input turbine sensor.....Ideas please and thank you.

Well this is getting more interesting by the day, should have known a $200 car would have unique problems. So my trans is saying something about ratio. On my drive to and from work I also relized that the speedo arm and digital display are both showing two different speeds, both of them wrong. They are slower than what they should be. The car is suppose to have 18" tires but have 20" 245/35R20 in the front and 275/30R20. I'm not sure and I don't recall if the digital speedo and arm speedo are linked and my alldata and prodemand info is very limited. Do they get there speeds from 2 different sources? and because of that what is the likelyhood of them messing up the transmission. This car is turning into a major restore project.

Waaaaw, 20" is kinda big, isn't..?

did you check the Ratio of your diff., it should be "2.82",,

perhaps, previous owner change it or something..!?!?

Dude I hate these rims already, I have my eye out for a set of 18"s, my plan is to restore this car back to stock mostly. Finding tires for these 20" has been almost impossible to keep the ratios right. How do I tell if he has changed the gear setup, i'm not seeing any markings on the diff.

I don't have answers for you but.. $200 E55? ****, I have an '01 I bought for $4k and it's also a major restore project. You don't even want to know what I've done in the first 2 months of ownership.....

Oh, wait.. You do wanna know? Okay.

Complete Trans Rebuild
Rear Main Seal
New Radiator
All New Radiator Hoses
Thermostat
Front Flex Disc
Driveshaft Center Support Bearing
Crank Position Sensor
EGR Assembly
Fuel Filter
All New Breather/Vacuum Hoses
Brake Booster to Intake Vacuum (Line and Fittings)
Tensioner Pully
Serpentine Belt
Lower Front Ball Joints
Front Sway Bar Bushings
Front Sway Bar Links
Inner Tie Rods
Outer Tie Rods
4 New Tires
New Spark Plugs
New Plug Wires
Headlight Wiring Harnesses
New Parking Lamp Bulb
New Side Marker Bulb
New License Plate Light Bulb

Half of that was preventative maintenance, the other half was because it was in dire need or had failing parts. Talk about a project!

People neglect these things because parts & labor is expensive and they cannot fix the car themselves. Then an owner like us comes along, sorts everything out, and are left with an amazing, timeless, AMG machine that runs & rides just like new. That's part of the game. But really, your quote about it turning into a major project made me laugh since you only paid $200 for it. Good luck dude, I hope you manage to figure it out and that the fix is inexpensive.

Its not so much a money thing, idc about the money aspect, it's more frustrating that some of the issues are not following standard repair process.

It sounds like a diff ratio problem. If u can't identify your differential u can open up the differential cover. And have u tried too shift "manually" if it works then.
