New Owner! Looking for ECU reflash & CF air box
Hello everyone! I'm new here, just bought a mint 2002 E55 that my wife and I love. I sold my beloved 944 Turbo because I have 3 kids now and I can't really fit them in my 944 Turbo. So I sold that a few months ago and we got this E55. What a fantastic car! I would like to get a new or used ECU thats been reflashed/upgraded and am looking for a Renntech or similar carbon fiber airbox. Just want some mild upgrades at this point, please feel free to PM me here or email me: provalimited@gmail.com or call me 770-846-0440 thank you all very much!
Here is a picture of my car! LOVE IT!

Welcome 4re306,
imho, I would just leave it the way it is for now....settle in and enjoy it and get to know your "baby".

Since you have a 2002, there is a good chance you can tune the ECU via cable, depending on which firmware you have. I'd recommend reaching out to Eurocharged, I have their tune on my 2002, and it was super simple to do remotely via laptop/cable. The tune dramatically woke up the car, as did headers, new cats and a slightly larger exhaust. The tune and exhaust are worth nearly 50hp, no joke! I did the exhaust fab myself, and was into it for less than the CF airbox alone costs.
Also, if you want to lower your car and make it more 'Euro' look, you can swap the #1 spring pads in front/rear. You car looks about the same height as mine was when I bought it, and those lowered the car about 1/2" all around for like $10/corner. My buddy has a 2000, and parked next to each other mine is juuuuust noticeably lower without being inconvenient to drive anywhere.
Nice score, great cars aren't they?

Hi everyone! We are loving this car, I've put a couple of thousand miles on it already, my wife uses it more than I do. Anyway, I'm still on the hunt for a CF airbox. Here are some more pics of the car, I just did a big detail to it.

Hi everyone! Hope you are all doing well in this strange time in our lives. I am still in the market for a used carbon fiber air intake box for my 2002 E55. Would consider anything but would love a used Renntech unit.
THANK YOU!

That being said, do the intake last. The car is as quick as it will be without spending a few thousand dollars. I did Kleemann headers and a tune, resonator/ secondary cat delete with an x pipe. That makes the car feel much better, but it was about $1600 for it all.
Nice pickup, welcome to the E55 club!
