Found derelict W210 E55 AMG - Should I buy it?
I found an old E55 AMG parked beside somebody's house way out in the country two days ago. I drove past it again and from what I can tell it is a complete car. It's dark grey and does not look wrecked or rusty. I asked my dad and he said that car has been sitting there for at least two years.
The owner appears to be an elderly man. I am thinking about approaching them about buying it but I am completely new to Mercedes and know nothing about them.
I am wondering if the car is worth buying. I probably won't fix it up to drive it because it would be a massive money pit, but is it worth parting out?
I am interested in it because I want the wheels off of it for my Volkswagen (don't laugh!).
Is there still a large enough community for these cars that I could easily part it out and make some profit? And if so, how much do you think should I pay for it?

I have already made a contact with the owner few days ago and will be picking it up as soon as the weather clears out.

210 E55's are worth saving since they are not money pits and prove to be extremely reliable for a very long time. Was about to say between $5k and $35k depending on mileage and condition.
