02 E55. 14 Tiguan
Trans hesitation?
Hi….02 E55 w126k. When I am full acceleration the trans upshifts perfectly and then there is a pause or hesitation before the acceleration continues. The pause is brief but noticeable. At lower acceleration the pause is much less noticeable but present. Once the pause happens the car accelerates very hard. Trans service? Other thoughts? I do not know the service history but purchased from the 1st owner. Thanks

its normal, the torque converter is doing its job.

If you want to make the car shift more quickly, a valve body will help.

Yes check trans adaptations first to much sure your trans is in good shape. But a sound German valve body from Southern hotrod will help. Don’t buy a tcu tune
