Spark plug wires

Hey all, started to do my plugs this am, got the 17mm wrench to help with the boots. It seems my boots must be original, they were all rubber, so I had really nothing to get the wrench on. I ended up just using my hands and some vice grips for help. Even with light pulling some of the rubber boot tore. Id like to replace these, I was shopping on fcp euro, as well as ECS. Price varies from 200-100ish. The ones on fcp have four different lengths, from 9.5-12.5...explain where they are all suppose to go. The esc kit, as well as some other sites only have two lengths. Is it dire that I get all these in the certain lengths for twice the money?? Brand is the same.

Matt.

Wire part numbers and location on the M113 engine.FWIW, the original wires on my '99 had metal housings. Photo is at 16 1/2 years of age and 157,000 kilometers on the engine.

So I finally got all my new wires put together, took one of the plugs out, looks like it has oil on the threads, checked the other bank, same. Valve covers look good, maybe a very little seep on the passenger side. I've been reading this may be caused by the valve covers themselves, or possibly a crankcase breather issue. I didn't want to install the new plugs without addressing. I did change the oil not that long ago. Thoughts?

If it were me, I would go ahead and change the plugs and then get the valve cover gaskets next opportunity.
