W210 BBK - Yes, I searched

Newbie here. Looking to get into a W210 E55 in Jan or Feb of 2005 if I can hold off that long. Looking to slap on some overkill. Where do I purchase a nice brembo BBK? Do they make a 380mm 8 pot kit?

I am a big BMW guy, sorta. Making a little switch cause I am sick of the dying brand. My E36 M3 is probably the best car I've ever owned. Mercedes is very pimp and looking forward to sporting one. I'll clarify right now, I'll take anyone here in the twisties with my M3.

Peace

Oh yea, and anyone look into putting the W211 E55 brakes on the W210. I'd surely love that.

Given your interest/experience with the M3, you should check out the c55... it's more comparable. If that's too much $$, then a c32 should be fairly close. Whatever you ultimately decide, you won't regret going AMG!

[take it from me, there's room a garage for both the M-Power and the AMG!]

Overkill? There's no such thing as overkill. You can purchase BBK from one of the following companies. www.evosport.com OR www.wheelexperts.com. They are both authorized dealers. No they don't make 380mm 8-piston kit BUT you can have it custom made if you're able to shell out some serious mula. Are you looking to do just the fronts or rears too? Where are you located? I have a 350mm kit 4 piston kit if you're interested. PM me.

Love my 55 - best combination of performance and luxury in a mid-size sedan. absolutely NO regrets at all! Get a 2000 or better model, the step-tronic [or whatever mb calls it] auto shift is worth it and I think the cosmetic changes in the 2000+ models were a very noticable improvement.

Let us know what you end up doing -

Looking at a 2001-2002 model with Nav. I was going to get an E39 M5 but this time I want an auto tranny being that I am so busy and multitasking in the car all day long. As I said, I am waiting until after the 1st of the year to buy, maybe. I'll probably end up getting one sooner cause I am impulsive like that. Only plans are wheels, suspension, exhaust, and sound system. I think brakes would look nice but thats later down the road if I decide to do them. I like to know what my options are. Plus, I have tons of money being wrapped up in the ehm three. See ya guys, thansk.
