The ride qaulity on my e55 seems more rough than most other e55's ive seen. what should i try replacing first? i just want it to be more of a comfortable drive. also sometimes i hear creaks when i go over bumps.

My opinion: E55 are designed to be tight and efficient on the road on all conditions. You must feel the road.
Perhaps you have runflat tires: they are rough. The specs for air pressure are high so rough ride.
Should be smooth ride on the hyway.

What tires do you have and what's your pressure?

has the suspension ever been repaired/serviced?

how long have you had this car, how many miles on it? Any major accidents?

So many factors to consider. OEM or modified suspension? your mileage? larger wheels? Previous maintenance on parts?

In my experience the sway bushings and drop links go fastest for speed bump rattles 60-80k. Then around 80-100K its Ball joints, lower/upper control arm bushings, shocks 80-100K miles. inner outer tie rods. Don't forget to check the tolerance on the front wheel bearings.

Out rear its outer control arm bushing, inners, any worn arms and don't forget those rear subframe bushings especially the forward facing.

All this depends on your roads and how much you drive..

I would consider the ride in mine as firm. Smooth over smooth surfaces but if it gets rough I get bounced around some. It is not lowered, General RS tires with replaced shocks that I think are firmer than stock. It has 116k miles.
So, firm would be considered normal.
