Well the sl55 does it in 9.5 so it's very possible with its agressive gearing once its already moving.
There is also talk that the US is getting a 6spd as an option.Rumors now but its been said from more than one source.

In the thread I posted in the CLS forum with regards to autocars review of the M5 and CLS55, I think, it says somewhere that once floored in the midranges, the M5 couldn't keep up with the CLS?

the reason why the test numbers of M5 and CLS are not fully included and why the M5 hasn't been headed to the E55 directly is that alot of mags are after our money, they just keep on repeating the usual BS and delay publishing anything allowing a proper comparison. Typical journalists
