Refurb my e55 or Buy a car Advice

Hi Friends, may I ask your advice? I own a 2001 e55 with 180,000 miles. I bought it used 10 years ago for my mother. I had a 2002 which I sold.

May I ask your advice, should I refurbish my car or look for a low mileage

My mother passed. I kept the car. It is a luxury for me.. The car drives ruff, The seats could use some work

Does anyone have an opinion?

Does anyone know a company that will refirb by 2001?

Do you know of a used 2001 or 2002 for sale?

Thank you phil

Just my opinion.
It is a classic and should last for years. You are not going to find many low mileage W210 E55s available, if any. FWIW, my '99 E55 is over 190,000 miles now
I've spent the last few years refurbing my '99. Still my go-to car for long-distance road trips (8-9 hours) plus around town driving.
I paid ~$7000 for my '99 E55 eleven years ago and have easily put in an additional $10K in paint, headliner, and parts. Worth it to me. I spent some time purchasing spares to store on the shelf as availability drops.
Seat covers are available from GAHH in California. Not(!) cheap but NAPA leather and cut to original templates. I bought a set for my '05 E55 and they are gorgeous.
And I much prefer to have a car that is not extremely dependent upon software as are the newest models.

I would get one with fewer miles only because the transmission will probably go out around 200 to 220k miles.

~249,000 miles on my '05 E55 with 30% more torque and 40% more power compared to my '99 W210 E55. Original transmission with two filter and fluid changes.

Transmission is very hard to say. I had to rebuild mine around 130K miles (06 E55 stage 3) W210 can last 200K+
Also all depend how long and how much you want to spend your car ? Anyways, finding a low mileage W210 is very hard or they ask very high price. Good luck.

I agree I think the smart thing to do is to buy a model with lower mileage. I'll keep my eyes open.
