FYI, BBS of Germany just filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Don't think they're going out of business or anything, only restructuring. Just kind of shocked to hear they aren't doing so well.

Out Of Control!
You serious? A bit confusing but if they've filed for Chapter 11 how can they still be restructuring? Where are they getting their capital from?

I read the press release in the Japanese BBS website about the "declaration of insolvency" of BBS Germany. Bascially they are saying that BBS Germany only makes cast rims and all the ALUMINUM and MAGNESIUM FORGED RIMS that you see on F1s and aftermarket are MADE IN JAPAN by ワシマイヤー社. BSS Japan has license to continue to use the BBS brand to sell their forged rims.

Not a problem. I was surprised to read that myself as well and quickly scramled to BBS Japan and try to read their press release.
Couple more interesting points from the press release:
1. BBS Japan will not be supplying rims to the five F-1 teams until BBS Germany has solved their situation.
2. BBS Germany only supplies about 0.2% of all BBS rims sold worldwide
3. BBS Japan has the right to use the trademark BBS in Japan so they'll continue to sell the wheels in Japan but it's not clear what the arrangement will be like in the ROW.
