Would you go N/A if they made body switch??

Was thinking this AM and I bet the only way they are gonna push this N/A through is to make a minor body style switch. This leaves us with a hard choice. Would you guys stick with monster torque or would you make the switch to the N/A and new body style...perhaps if they took it a touch in the way of the CLS??

Just wondering what you thought. We have been hearing that new N/A will be 500hp....but I am staring to hear around the water cooler it could be pushing 540? Wonder what the heck the torque is gonna be?

Think I am going to wait for bi-turbo.....who knows.

REally i dont wanna go back to N/A really! After im done with E55, and if the next E55 or E63 going to be N/A im not getting one... I was thinking of getting CL600 and renntech it to 650 hp and run 11.5 1/4!! Or porsche turbo... there's no way im going back to N/A! Gotta love the torque!!!

Please Mercedes make it Bi turbo!

I'd be very willing to pick up a NA AMG car. To me, there are some things I really don't like about this 55K engine. The supercharger clutch squeek, the hesitation when the supercharger engages (how about just full time, forget the electromagnetic BS), shotty transmission (probably just my car), and poor throttle response. My complains seems to do with things that AMG/MB can improve on, on the next car...So it's not so much I want a NA engine as I would like MB to improve on their current engine.

The BiTurbo 6.3 is suppose to come in 2007. The 6.3N/A is suppose to come out in 2006. The 6.3N/A will first show up in the CLS model. Also, the 6.3 engines are going to be a 4 valve per cylinder setup. BTW, this is coming from a discussion with a the North American AMG VP.

2012 C63 Coupe Iridium Silver
If they can make a 4 valve per cylinder N/A engine, with a flat torque curve and max torque in the low rpm (like 55k, 600 and 65 engines) then I'll be impressed
Otherwise it'll just be like everyone else's V8 i.e Audi, BMW

It's the max torque from 2650rpm that makes us love the 55k engine

If in 2006 the NA 6.3 is going to come out at around 500-550hp, what would a TT6.3 be rated at? My guess is 600hp and then the 65 series would be 700 hp a few years later.
