E55 PICS! Wing & Steering Wheel
I love seeing pics of our respective BEAST'S posted on the forum, and assume that the rest of you do too. So, I have posted some updated pics of my car, following the addition of a wing and a new steering wheel. ENJOY!

Steering Wheel was purchased from AutoWerks for $1,200. It feels awesome. The shift buttons are simply transferred from your existing wheel to the new wheel. Pretty easy process. Everything works 100%, and the feel of the wheel is incredible.
Thinking about it makes me want to go out for a spin around my block ...

Now wait a sec! I love the tires and see that they are Michelins....are they PS2's? The tread pattern is TOTALLY different than mine. Mine have 2 large grooves toward the outside of them....could have swore mine are PS2's.
Are yours just the Pilot Sports?
Really like the pattern on those pups.
Oh yeah, car of course is showroom as well. Could friggin shave looking into that thing!

The PS2 has a completely different tread pattern.

the R32 is a great little car.
for the money (26.6 for me) i do not think it
can be beat. i was considering trading it in towards
my E55 and the dealer offered me 24K with 11,000 miles on the clock.
but i decided to keep it since it is so limited.

Hi Sam,
The Spolier was from "FormyMercedes", and cost me arounf $300 painted and delivered. I love the look. It even looks a lot more impressive in person. I believe the car look a bit soft without, but to each his own.

Hi Peter,
Nice ride. I agree. The spoiler only enhances the look that much more.
BTW: Love what you have done under the hood (per your other posts). Very cool.

Well put Peter. I want to begin the "GO" mods with an ECU upgrade and pulleys, but am a little hesitent b/c of the warranty implications. What would you suggest, if anything?

nice, nice, nice.
what's the installation time like and when you say you snap in origanal shifter buttons, these pop out of existing wheel no sweat?
one other quick - the wood on the wheel is a dead-on match to maple dash wood?
sweet!
fastar.

Hey Fastar,
Realistically, it will take you about 45 min the first time around from start to finish. Installation of the original shifter buttons are one of the easiest and fastest stages of the process. The tricky part is putting the steering wheel on straight (lining up the teeth). I suggest tighting the wheel semi-tight, ad taking it for a little SLOW test drive to ensure the wheel is on dead-straight. Once confirmed, go ahead and complete the rest of the install.
The wood is pretty much dead-on, which makes it look more factory.

Looks great! The wheel is nice and classy and the wing really adds that sporty touch. I like the look of the car with the extra lip, gives it that subtle euro-tuner look while still maintaining the class of an MBZ.

MB Spoiler for E500?
Here's a photo -- direct from the MBUSA website -- of an accessory spoiler that they offer for the E500 sedan. Price: $398 list, presumably including paint and installation. I assume that a dealership would have no hesitation selling the same accessory for an E55. (No?) I can't say that I prefer the looks of this one over the others, but then I'm not really a fan of any that I've seen. Can anyone report that spoilers like these enhance performance at all?
