Fluid leak

I was on vacation last week and hadn't driven my e55 for a week. Got home yesterday and was looking forward to taking it out after driving a rental all week. I backed it out of the garage and noticed a big puddle of viscous fluid on the floor. I think it is transmission fluid. It goes in for service tomorrow.

Known problem with all E classes. Will take the dealer less then 15 minutes to fix

You were right. It only took a few minutes to fix. A leaky O ring in the transmission, and like you said an apparently common problem with the E class.
