Any good suggestions on replacement brakes for '01 E55?

OK, I need new pads and rotors for my E55. Any good suggestions on where to get the best deal on parts 1) stock pads & rotors or 2) replacement pads/rotors. Also, which replacement pads and rotors are the best (for the money).

Any good suggestions on places to get this done for a good price in Orange County, Ca??

Any help would be welcome!!

Does anyone have any idea on the cost?

Would recommend you check out Porterfield Brakes in Costa Mesa. They should have a Brembo rotor and R4S pad combination that will give you excellent braking and minimal dusting. You can decide if you want ventilated rotors and/or cryogenic treatment as well.

You can buy the parts direct from them and either do the job yourself, or have any good mechanic take care of it. Would also recommend changing the brake fluid if it hasn't been done in a couple of years, again using their Motul fluid as replacement.

I used them on my 01 E 430 and on my 02 MK 500.

Best of luck, and post your decision and results.
