After being shelved some time ago following difficulties between DCAG and McLaren, the P8 project has been resurrected. McLaren has decided to continue with the project and has Mercedes' blessing! Its expected as an '08 model and may be badged just as a McLaren. It will have the NA 6.3L V8 that we've all been talking about supplied by Mercedes. The powerplant is expected to produce over 500hp and a minumum of 440lb-ft. There has been a lot of talk about this engine and some are hoping it doesnt end up in the next AMG E-class but if this info is accurate, I think we will be ok!

Hopefully it isnt over priced. If it isnt I may just get one haha. Im hoping its nowhere near SLR territory when it comes to price.

From what I read, the P8 will be marketed to compete against the ferrari 430 and the gallardo.

Yes, its said to be in the $150K range, maybe a little higher but not to exceed $200K.
