Questions from a Newbie regarding my e55
Two quick questions....
1.) Factory requires 04' M3 to warm up, Factory does not recommend to warm up the 03' 996tt...What about my 05' E55?
2.) Engine makes the "ticking" noise when the car is stopped(with engine running). Dealer said it's normal...is that true?
TIA

I've had both cars, and I would still recommend that you warm up your E55. By "warm up", I don't mean that you need to let it warm up in the garage, but run the car under 4k RPM until it reaches normal operating temperature before driving the car "all out."
All my cars do the "ticking" sound after shutting down, it's just the exhaust manifold cooling down...I live on a steep mountain and drive my cars hard going home. I like to just cool the car down for 1-2 minutes before shutting off, especially, the 996TT or any other turbo car. The E55 doesn't require it, but I just like to do it, especially after a hard drive.
