Ipod Install Update

Ipod Install Update
April 18th was the scheduled install date for my ipod adapter kit. Well, bring the car down at 7:30 a.m. (I am on "vacation".) The service advisor tells me that it will require 3.2 hours of labor at something like $110 per hour. He says it'll run about $700 installed. A bit more than I wanted to spend, but I'm already there.
After an hour of waiting (had soooo much crap to worry about yesterday), I ask for a loaner to go home and wait for a delivery. Head back around 11:30. On my way, I call. Service advisor tells me "sorry, we learned the hard way that they don't have the wiring kit yet for the E-class". IS THIS NOT SOMETHING THAT I WOULD HAVE PREFERRED TO KNOW BEFORE TODAY?" I can't understand it. How does this happen?
What a waste of a good morning.

greetingz,
greetingz,
You'd think I'd get a call with an apology or something. Dang I am still p.o.'d.

Sorry Gareth, I posted over on the W211 board. It was as you all suggested. They had a kit that will only work on the new ML class. They haven't a clue when it will be available for the E. I told them about what you all had said here and they told me to keep an eye on the forums because news seems to get here before it gets to them.
I showed my service advisor my iPod. He liked it. He hadn't seen one before.
