MKB E55 Tuning Solutions...
I've spoked to MKB and thier stage 1 is 540 HP but costs the same as Kleemann Stage 1 which is 520 HP...
Both 3400 EURO...
MKB - ECU upgrade, VMAX and optimased air duct intake
Kleemann - Pullies and ECU...
Here info on MKB tuning modifications:
http://www.mkb-power.de/pages_en/pro...oups%5Bid%5D=5
stage 1
Increase in performance 397 kW (540 HP) at 5800 rpm, 735 Nm at 4190 rpm
modification:
adaptation of ECU, V-max delimiter, MKB optimized air intake duct
Vmax:
MKB 310km/h Standard 250km/h
0-100km/h:
MKB 4,5 s Standard 4,7 s MKB 541 13
Stage 2
E 55 K M 113 5,5 l - 3V
Increase in performance 397 kW (540 HP) at 5800 rpm, 735 Nm at 4190 rpm
modification:
adaptation of ECU incl. V-max delimiter, shorter transmission
ratio ( I = 2,82 ) and modified transmission control unit
for a better acceleration rate, MKB optimized air intake duct
Stage 3
Increase in performance to 438 KW (595HP) at 5800 rpm, 765 Nm at 4190 rpm
modification:
high performance camshaft, exhaust headers s/s, adaptation of ECU inkl. Vmax delimiterter, sports air filters, shorter transmission ratio (I = 2,82), modified transmission control unit for a better acceleration rate, MKB optimized air intake duct MKB 135 61
Stage 4
Increase in performance to 456 KW (620HP) at 5800 rpm, 800 Nm at 4190 rpm
modification:
high performance camshaft, exhaust headers s/s, comressor pully, bigger throttle with optimized air intake duct, adaptation of ECU inkl. Vmax delimiter, Linited slip differntial 45%, shorter transmission ratio (I = 2,82), modified transmission, control unit for EGS
Looks nice MKB is very respectful tuner, I think one of its founder used the work for AMG...

Yeah that what I am curious about...540 with just ECU and Cold air intake...
So they must increase boost from 0.9 to may be 1.0 or whatever abd 10 from air intake...
MKB claims 540HP and 735 torgues and Kleemann 520 HP but 750 torgues...
How come is that

MKB highly regarded....but also pricy...
I like the fact that they do an overall conversion ... i.e. change the diff ratio , add LSD (even tough its the crappy clutch type), rework the tranny to beef it up and adapt its software..... v nice...

ecu tuning make the different.
thats why Veloce ECU tuning is so also rated so high. and from reading couple of thread that on ecu tuning is better than just a pully and ecu.
I will know in couple of week. I will be installing Veloce ecu and will have a base and after dyno numbers.

I had never really looked at the MKB number...and price. I guess we are doing a good job!

MKB doesn't run on high boost, but the boost will hold.
Other tuners may run higher boost, but their boost wouldn't hold at the top end. And moreover MKB have a very advance timming software. MKB seals off the secondary throttle inorder to hold boost.
