E55T news from the AMG Challenge
Hi all,
Wolf is at the Challenge today at the California Speedway. He got to talk to the head AMG guy ( he never gave me the guys name) and was told that they've allocated 150 E55 wagons for the US market this year of which 42 have been ordered. They are planning to release about 200 next year as long as there is interest in them. He was also told that the wagon definately DOES handle better than the sedan from a man who's name I believe was Jeff Andretti. Thought you'd like to know.

Hi there,
I sent my digital camera with him but that doesn't mean he'll actually take pictures. I know he did take some when I sent him to the BMW M school in SC back in November so I have high hopes. If he does I'll post them tonight, I promise. He did say there was no E55T there though, just regular sedan which he's having a BALL in!

A SL55 delivered 8/18/07, and an E55 wagon delivered 5/11/05
just got home from AMG challenge
Hello everyone..had a blast today nothing like sitting (alas not driving..thet don't trust us ) in a E55 going 140 MPH with a car 5 feet in front of you and another 3 feet off your passenger door ... Hot Laps rule. However on the down side with 72 students driving time was less than I was hoping for but still very fun driving a car 100+ MPH with no cops to worry about . A few nuggets of info I picked up I talked to Rob (forgot last name) head of AMG USA division . Kim already filled you in on the wagon information... AMG for 2006 is going to change recommended oil change from 10,000 miles to 7,500 miles since nothing else is changing on these cars I would think all 2005 MY owners should follow the 7,500 mile oil change. Also I asked about the 6.3 engine for the SLK in 2006 and was told no changes the SLK55 are planned for the next few years they are selling them faster than they can build them. I am going to have Kim post the pix I took. Wolf
