Is it possible that the car from the spy pics that people are calling the CLS65 could actually be the CLS55 with the upgrade pacakge? Methinks so.

I enquired about these upgrades for my CLS55 AMG a few eeks ago and it seems that from AMG's reply, these options have been available seperately for retrofit. But if they are offering it as a package for that price, it's a real bargain compared to what I was quoted and I may have to review my order! Here's what they sent:

(BTW, does anybody know what AMG "compound" braking system is?)

If package not offered on our E55's, just go with Kleemann K2 or K3, LSD, lower the car, 19" rims and call it a E65

Here is an article from Edmunds regarding the CLS65.
http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=105395

Also, here is a picture of the CLS65 from a post in the CLS55 forum:
https://mbworld.org/forums/c219/106204-cls65-real.html

All this talk about the new M5 when people should be talking about the new CLS65 which should blow the doors off of the new M5.

Looks like the best we can hope for is to retrofit some of the CLS
package upgrades to the E. Too bad. Among the AMG forums on MBWorld, the level of interest in pushing the performance envelope seems highest here, at least from what I've seen.
Beowulf, please bring a copy of that with you this weekend.

Nothing, I think the bottom one is the price of the LSD without installation. Sorry for the ambiguity, I cut and pasted from a word document and the formatting didn't show up.

I'd bring a few. We can share, and if more copies are desired, the hotel has a machine I'm sure.

Guys, but what about the suspension mods!! That has been the thorn in our side all along. I asked Harris for some information about the new suspension mods and he gave me some great info (pm him if you're interested), but I'd like to hear from anyone here who has some information about those mods! It's the first I've heard of suspension mods (besides lowering your car). Seems crazy that we would not jump on this mod first and right away! Someone please educate me. I'm dreaming of tight turns and no body roll....

Then yes, add Kleemann mods and we are sitting pretty.

Gareth

Performance package: What about the E55 and C55?

Will this package be available for the E55 and C55 sedan as well?

If you have a competent dealer, they should. Beowulf may have some further specifics as he has (in-hand) a spec sheet with the details. Good luck!
