How much PSI in rear tires for 1/4mile?
I will be taking my car to the track on Friday night, and I was wondering what psi I should set the rears and the fronts? Maybe I can break into the 12's by removing the spare tire, 120lb bass box and only having a 1/4 tank for race fuel, my best is a 13.1. I was also considering removing the K&N filters and just running my AMG intake box empty, any thoughts?
Thanks in advance

I run with 22 psi. Taking weight out certainly helps, but I found that my 60 foot times began to suffer when I was really low on fuel.
At my recent track rental, my 60 foot times got a little better after I put $10 worth of gas in the car. I think it might be possible to be too light in the back. Strange.

Mario...
Do you have your stock AMG wheels? You might consider fitting your stock wheels and maybe even fitting them with drag radials, but the taller sidewalls on the 18s will give you better launch traction.
I tried a few runs in the 20-25 psi range, and found pretty consistent numbers.

It's all going to depend on what size tires you have. Pull the bass box and the spare tire out. Every 100lbs is worth almost a tenth. Let us know what size tires and we can go from there.
