Picture's of E55T ahead of E55

One strong E55T, while M5 was faster than E55 4 sedan,
E55T, according to Erik who rented the airfield for test :"

The M5 is faster than the E55, but the difference in 950 m (about half a mile) is not huge.

Quite impressive to see the E55 T (Wagon) which after all is a wagon with autobox run almost similar to the new M5.

But - beware - the new M5 is VERY fast!

Looks like that particular E55 lost not only to M5 but to E55t as well.
Which is heavier, sedan or wagon??

The wagon is about 180lbs heavier.

** edit ** but that is 180lbs in the rear of the car heavier, and most of it is over or past the rear wheels, so I'd imagine the weight balance is much closer to 50/50 which means you might actually get a better traction on the launch...

Maybe it's the speck in the first pic bringing up the rear.

E63 biturbo
Why is the Porsche only 1 car length behind the E55 after 950m?? Or maybe these pictures were taken after 200m ...

Edited to say:

On second thoughts, it looks like the first couple of pictures were taken of the cars at the start of the race, my bad.

I rode in an E55T today. It felt just as fast as a stock E55 sedan. Very impressive.

Zoom in on the last pic & it looks like the silver E55 ran the E55T down from behind. Must be a strong E55 that silver one.

The 997 wasn't racing this time.
