I just noticed that you have a E55 wagon. Were you in Vancouver (Robson St) a couple of weeks ago with your black 55? The car doesnt have license plate yet.

The 945 wont be available until next year. My assuming is based on the fact that the Competition series arent even out yet (which were debut at the SEMA show in Nov '03) and were supposed to be in production last summer.

Cool, even better. I think they look awesome especially on a Black car.
I have the non-AMG versions (ASA ST4) and my front wheels get that color when I don't wash the car for a while and the brake dust collects.

Do you know whether I can get my wheels coated in that color?

The ones you saw were probable the TSW Bremma's (lookalikes).

Something on 4 wheels..
Are those grey wheels identical to those on the 030 AMG Performance Package for the CLS 55 or will those Performance-package wheels be in a one color-design (like current E55-wheels)?

My information came directly from an HRE representative who said that the 945 is already available in 22", but that the 20" mold is still a few months out...

Yes, you're right. The 22" is already available. I was referring to the 20's 'cause I thought you said you're waiting for the 20's. I just had a chat with HRE today and they said the 20's will be approved in about a month. Need a quote?

Its a E55! Come on!
I do like the look of the AMG wheels but I wouldn't have any problems getting something else (knock offs). I guess you haven't heard of AMG having any problems with their wheels. I had a couple on my car that they could not get balanced and I have seen other guys on here post the same thing. I think the AMG wheels are no better than any knock off wheel out there. They are heavier than pigs and quality is suspect.

Well, if you have an unbalanced AMG wheel, take it to the dealership and I am sure you will be taken care of. I dont think you will get any help from anybody if you are getting some replicas.

And in terms of weight, all German made cast aluminum wheels are heavy. I dont think a stock AMG Style IV 18" wheel that weighs 28/29lbs is that bad.

Just call Harris, he'll hook you up! I'm sure Mercedes would want big money for a set of those.

Nice wheels. Don't use Armor All. They have a history of using abrasive chemicals in their products which destroy whatever you put them on.
