Resetting ESS on 2005 E 55???
Have completed routine maintenance at 10k miles(oil and filter), and need to reset ESS. No info in the mainteneance or regular manual. Have also done searches on all forums here and on MB Shop. No info on how to do this for the new models. Anyone have detailed info on how to reset? Thanks!

Try looking here,

I haven't tried it but the section on FSS plus might help.

Thanks a lot!! Took about 5 minutes. I've posted the specific link here just to help anyone else who is a DIY.

I’m curious, where from and how did you suck the oil out? I use a hand pump down the dip stick tube of the boat but I don’t think the E55 has a dip stick. Any info would be appreciated. I’d rather not give the stealer $135 for an oil change that I should be able to do myself in less than 30 minutes.

This is a C32,but the E55 should be similar. It's the black plug with the yellow stripe.
