members attending AMG Challenge at Homestead Miami
Hi to all
thought it might be a good idea for all mbworld members attending the AMG challenge at Homestead next week to get together - spin some tales - share some tips - get some group photos etc. At the track an maybe off the track as well.
Curios to know who is attending which days - I will be there Friday and Saturday - lets me know your days.

I think it would be a blast to meet up after the event at a local Homestead pub and relive the day - what do you guys think?
Just dont want to overdo the imbibing at the bar - I have an hours drive home and after a day on the track playing Michael Schumaker - well you get the idea
So will just have to use restraint - in the bar and on the I95!!!!!

That sounds like a plan! The nearby Homestead Sports Center is good for some cold ones and some good food. Maybe we could have the AMG guys make an announcement at the end of the day for us and whoever else wants to unwind.

Only three days left and counting - already getting a tingling feeling in my right foot and uncontrollable urge to stomp it. Hoping to try out the CLS55 (have one on order due August) but not sure if I will take it - the Challenge ought to help me make up my mind.
Also hoping to take a spin in a CL 65 or SL 65 and get a feeling of what 600Hp feels like
looking forward to the GTG

Thanks for the info. Looking forward to it as well. Any idea how many registrants there are for the event???
We should also plan some group photos with our own rides. It will probably be the largest gathering of AMG cars we will ever experience.

The turnpike exit is well marked and once on Speedway Blvd, its a straight shot south...you can't miss it. Follow the road to the right to go around the track and make the left on Palm (344th St) to get to the entrance on the south side of the track.

the closer the get the more my right foot begins to twitch - really getting excited about these two days. But gotta be careful - its friday 13th after all!
I will bring my photo gear to get some shots and also of our mbworld guys with their rides
will also bring some video gear - I have some in-car mounts and I just hope they will allow us to set up cameras in-car.
