He "promised" the engine would not blow and beyond that, I have nothing else. I do not know about supercharger wear or bearings or changing oil for that matter. I want 10's and then the kit comes off.

I've looked at tracks around the country that are having Saturday races and 40 degree weather but have not found any yet. I'm almost willing to load up and drive 1000 miles north tomorrow to run somewhere.

In the end, I want the time and if it blows then it blows.

Thanks for paving the way for newbies like me.

Did you run without nitrous? If so what was your time?

Also, have you considered getting that Evosport intercooler with all the drag racing being done?

Congrats,
Very impressive, I knew with the trap speed that nitrous had to be involved. Great time

I think if you are running NOS, an intercooler is redundant. The NOS cools the intake air on its own.

What's the biggest shot that the blown mustangs use? 60HP seems a little on the light side. My Vette is NA but I routinely use a "hot" 150 wet shot without untoward effects. My MSD ignition retards the timing 2-4 degrees and this seems to do the trick.

vetluver...on 03-04 Cobra's we have cars running the stock trans and engine with a kenne bell and a 250 shot. They run in the low 9's.

The average street guy that sprays will hit it with a 50-75 shot. These small shots are extremely powerful on a blown car...which is why Derek gained so much power for such a small shot. My car would be well over 700rwhp and 750rwtq with a 60 shot on my race tune. Blowers and n20 are a match made in heaven.

Yes it's a 60 shot but it's wet and running through a supercharger thus I'm making 110 hp and 130 torque.

Heat soak is definitely still an issue. No doubt. I saw there was a meet in MD tomorrow and had my PS2's and DR's been in today instead of tomorrow AM, I would be pulling into MD right now. I need some cooler weather. Hoping for a long cool down and lots of ice for a new best time tomorrow night.

Considering that the MB is an automatic, I figure close to 20% drivetrain loss. Therefore, 612 torque at the wheels is about 765 torque at the crank and 548 rwhp is about 686 at the crank. Although conservative, the SLR has only 615 crank hp and 575 torque. I don't know how much more power those internals, forged or not, can handle.

Video was a trip. First run was 11.4x and the guy was standing behind the lines and got bumped as I crossed the line. The 11.38 run did not post to the timeboard. Not sure why but I'll post it anyways.

Eh. I lied man. Forget videos. Just post high resoulution, sharp, and crisp images.

Nothing better then seeing an image of an unbelievably fast car.

How bout the one beneath my posts?

700 crank hp means I have a little more room to go. Might just up the shot tonight if the tuner feels comfortable.

wow man... nice time and even nicer mph.. that blows me out of the water... if you can get it to hook that is a 10 sec pass easy.. now you are gona make me have to bump up my shot to see if i can get into the 10's first.. the track i run at does a heck of a job on prep and i know the dude that works the line and he will sprays some vht down for me.. the best 60' so far is a 1.62 so if i can get the mph up on the big end.... it could happen..
