Important break in info
Enjoy.

This has been hotly debated. It is more than just the engine that needs to be broken in. You also have Trans and differential issues to deal with as well. Just ask a couple of SL65 and G55 owners that ignored this what happened to their differentials.
If MB goes through the effort of puting a sticker in the window then I say follow it. I MAY be missing 1 or 2 HP in the long run but with all the traction issues I have anyway who cares.
The only reason that I even dare post on this topic again is that I don't want new owners to be un-informed. Don't read articles like this without thinking about the potential issues. You car is not a race car (yet it might be faster ;-))
Enjoy

Go figure.
Go figure.
Of the four that I know of, three were broken in slowly and the one that was run hard from the beginning was the one that put down 413.
28 HP at the rear wheels above normal is incredible...... What numbers are you running at the track?
Enjoy

If you were ever to find an AMG engineer, get 'em drunk and behind closed doors and he'll tell the "real way" to break a new engine in.
