Evo IC upgrade installation pics...
not too bad so far, going where ive never been. always been mechanically inclined, buying junk motorcycles, fixing them and selling them as a kid but tackling this is a bit of a chore. taking off the plastic undercarriage covers and wheels, easy. getting under the car...kind of blows. have 4 jackstands AND the jack and im still wary!!! now to the bumper, tricky but ends up being a one man job. hard to explain but there are 2 forward facing tabs on the front of the bumper that hold to the bottom the the fenders, you cannt pull the bumper straight off but back first so the tabs unlatch then forward. instructions were wrong so did this by trial and error. took off the intake boxes and wrapped them in insulation. not part of the kit but was the right time to do. already had the phenolic spacers so that was already done too.
by far the most difficult part was separating the ic system from the engine cooling circuit. this little nub in the t fitting had to be stretched over the large "T" nipple. instructions say a little bit of coolant will leak out. it should have read, no human on earth can do this without removing the entire line from the fillup tank to the radiator, then spend 20 minutes using a plethora of different tools to get this ******* to fit!!!
also, when you remove a section put all those bolts in a merked bag. just to get the frontal half of the wheels inner fenders out you have to remove 10 fastners making up 3 different types.
finally the day ended with the polishing of what i could of the ic. amazingly even the tig welds polished up nicely!!!
remaining steps: drain the original ic system, replacing pump, installing new ic reservoir and fill with water, coolant and water wetter. than cheerfully reinstalling all body parts.
JOY!!!

Pete, I don't see this mod listed on the evosport website but remember the posts from a few months ago about this upgrade. Is the cost around 2K?
