I have a Sony Ericsson Z800 and S700i

Since our cars don't have bluetooth or any will have bluetooth anytime soon.. I was wondering if there's any bluetooth units out there that will connect to the wiring harness?

Also i found on ebay that there's a MERCEDES BENZ MOTOROLA V710 that can be used with mercedes benz..

Would that particular phone work on our E55's? They did mention that it's for 05 model and up. If you can't use it with ours, I'm sure there must be a way to do it. If you definately can't use it-what models or phones that we can use with our cars that are at least newer or modern, compared to what i've seen out there. At least phones that use sims or have bluetooth.

Buy a the entry level Acura TSX and you have bluetooth. My aunt just picked one up and I was shocked with all the cool gadgets this car has.

I wouldn't be concerned about the engineers so much as the bean counters. I am still amazed we still have to shell out for navigation and xenon lights on a car with a BASE price of over $80K.

this topic has been discussed quite a bit. apparently mercedes is signed into a contract with motorola until EOY 2007 or something like that. the phones they sell now in the kits are the V600 and V710 which are bluetooth. the phones are bluetooth. the car is not.

i wish this were just a software upgrade where you could walk into your car and your bluetooth phone pairs with your car. but i have not heard anything yet in that area. anyone else?
