New possibly/potential owner with questions.
Greetings.
I'm currently in the market for a daily driver and somehow can't stop thinking of a MB E55 (W210). I never would've even thought of Mercedes until this time of the year, so I can thank Kimi Raikonnen for that...
I've had problems getting answers from online reviews and thus came here.
I'd appreciate any information you can present me with.
Questions:
-I've read the E55 has a paddle type shift option vs along with the automatic tranny. Is this true?
-What type of aftermarket support is there for the W210 besides Renntech?
-What issues exist with the W210 as far as quality (if any)? Electrical? Gearbox? Tranny? etc.
-What can I expect as far as regular maintenance costs?

I had 05 E55 but can answer some of your questions too
Questions:
-I've read the E55 has a paddle type shift option vs along with the automatic tranny. Is this true?
W210 has only tiptronic ( you can switch gears throught the shift knob only) and it does not have buttons on the wheel like W211.
-What type of aftermarket support is there for the W210 besides Renntech?
Kleemann, Brabus, Evosport (i think), Carlsson, MBK.
-What issues exist with the W210 as far as quality (if any)? Electrical? Gearbox? Tranny? etc.
