Tire Sizes and life revisited

Couple of questions.
First, Anyone running the 265 setup up all the way around? i.e. Rear rims on all four corners.

Second, How many miles do you get on a set of new tires? One front per rear? two?

Let me know what to expect.
p.s. I love soft compounds and lighting them up

I've never heard of anyone running 265's all the way around. There may be a few people who have squeezed on 255's on the front, but that's all I've heard of before. Main reason, there's a control arm bolt that protrudes down roughly 1/4" just above the front tires on each side. Some people file this down in order to put on wider tires which creates a taller sidewall when using the same profile.

I don't get many miles on my rears. I've been changing the rears about every 6,000 miles. I was changing the fronts every time I changed the rears until this last time since my PS2 fronts had so much tread left.

I just had to change my rear PS2's after getting about 15K miles on them. The fronts have a lot of tread left.

I have 265's on the front and 275's on the rear. It made a big difference in front grip. The car is much more balanced now. Still pushes though. If you search my name, I started a thread about it a while back (sometime last year.)

Can I put 255/40/18's front and 285/35/18's on the rear on stock wheels also considering that I have had my car lowered 30MM with the brabus lowering module?

Ray
