A SL55 delivered 8/18/07, and an E55 wagon delivered 5/11/05
Oh Crap

Kim just called me the E just stalled out on the 101. She was able to get it started and back home. Tele-aid told her they think it be the brakes? Were taking it over to Keyes now. Any guesses? Jim

How can the brakes cause a car to stall? Am I missing something here with Tele-aid??

Most Tele-Aid personnels are just as smart as those tech supports taking calls for your computer problems... I could be wrong..

I hope everything works out Mr.Wolf. Hopefully they can find the problem right away and fix it right away.

Tele-Aid has the ability to diagnose a car preliminarily, and relay that information to the closest dealer and/or road side assistance. Its pretty cool, but not too accurate.

My bad, justed talked to Kim again she noticed the car was stalled because the red brake light was on. Tele-aid told her its most likely a fuel issue, but it could be the brakes? I thinking bad fuel pump or similar malady. Its about 100 degrees today can this effect the car? They better not try to say its my mods Jim

Definately not gas. I drive the 30 or so miles home to drop off my MIL and son and still had over 1/4 of a tank of gas left. Did add some before I drove it back though. It was really weird and I am hoping it is nothing more than a vapor lock. I wouldn't have driven it if the chjeck engine light stayed on but it went back off when the car started again and had no problems after that

Wow, really sorry to hear that. Hopefully just a sensor or some other quick fix. Good luck.

If a warning light came on they should be able to diagnosis. My car shuts off intermittently with no codes, hence no one really knows why

Well, just got off the phone with Wolf and they found nothing wrong with the car. He forgot to ask what code came up (if any) when the check engine light came on butwill ask when he picks it up. Hopefully it was simply a vapor lock in 105 weather added to dead standstill traffic. I think I'd feel a lot better if they found something.
