Are Koni's prone to leak?

I heard a rumor that the Koni shox's are prone to leakage and that I should stay with my Bilsteins. How many have actually experienced this and is the Bilstein truly a superior shock in comparrison( Non leak, better ride)?

I spent the money on the Koni adj and my Bilstein SP's are only 8 months old(presently on the car).I just want the rear to stop hitting the rear tires on hard launches so I chose these(Koni's) for adjustability.

Present setup: Bilstein Sp + eibach springs(prokit).

Setup sitting in House:Koni adj + H&R's

Again I just want the rear of the car to stop hitting the tires on hard launches.I'm worried about using the new koni's because I hear they leak.Anyone want to share?

I have Koni adjusteables under my 1993 C250D (no idea why you posted this in the E55 section) and have had:
- one leaking right rear shock after 18 months and 150.000km (I drove a lot)
- on eleaking replacement shock after 5 months and 32.000km

Both times the shocks were replaced under warranty - and the second time I even got one extra shock...so eventhough the shocks could have been better the service is good.
