Anyone have a hookup or can get a deal on replacement AMG rims?
I have a CLS55 and last night I bent one of my front rims on one of LA's many $#^&** potholes. Go figure, its the car capitol of the world, and we have the worst roads! Anyway, I call my MB dealer today and they tell me its gonna be $1132! For one single piece 19" rim! Do any of you guys know anyone who might be able to do better on a replacement? I would have asked in the CLS forum but the E55 forum has much more traffic so I figured it would be better to ask here. Any help would be hugely appreciated!

I don't know about LA but you might try pursuing this with the city. Many towns do compensate drivers for damage caused by poor road conditions (on city roads of course).

Out Of Control!!
If you are not opposed to getting the wheel repaired, check out wheel repair facilities. There are 3 of them in Dallas, TX. I had Wheels America do some work on one of mine. They have one price for any repair, about $125. Their work was not perfect and I pointed out the problem areas and they said that they would work the wheel again. I did not want to wait another 3 days and it was so minor that nobody else would ever notice the blemish. They did reduce the price by $50 for my disappointment. I do not think I would recommend them, and I would go to another place if I ever damage another wheel. I did learn though, it is not rocket science and they can be repaired to look as good as a new one, and for a lot less money. If you don't like the work, then you will have 2 nice wheels for coffee tables and you can still order new ones for the car and won't have wasted much money. There has to be several good repair shops in LA. Good luck.
