SBC Saftey Recall Notice Arrived Today
Came in the mail today. Saftey Recall #2005 070007 for Model Year 2004 E- Class and SL-Class vehicles equipped with Sensotronic Brake Control (SBC).
Letter was dated August,2005.
I am sure many more of us will be getting this.

You won't be able it. If I remember right they just check a few things and replace some components so they don't fail.
It's basically an aftermath from all the Taxi's in Europe.

My first recall for SBC was about a year ago which was a program update. This is a something to do with the SBC system may prematurely shift to the hydraulic back up mode due to a loosening of the ground wire harness connection over time, or due to premature failure of the hydraulic pump. In the hydraulic back up mode, the driver has braking power to stop but it may take longer and you could run into somebody.
Basically a bracket and replacement ground wire that is installed on your SBC pump unit to correct the situation. Does not sound like anything major.
