Check out A4Tourist's pics too ... they're great.
BTW I didn't get to drive a CLS ... but I was 2.5 seconds faster around the track (109 vs 111.5) in an E55 than an CLK55.
And the E55 felt MUCH more stable in the turns than the CLK ... it tracked better.

Hyped up! SEPT 17-18th AMG X-treme event
Pics are awesome, looks like a great time!!
I can't wait.. I just signed up for the AMG extreme event in Joliet IL at the Autobahn country club. It is Sept 17 and 18th. I will be attending the 17th at 12:30 class. I hope it is like the pics you have posted. I CANT WAIT!!! any tips to quicker lap times??

If anyone didn't see the video in this link it will give you a pretty good sense of what it was like to run at Lime Rock.

You'll note that the speed runs up to around 147 on the main straight - we were technically *limited* to 110 mph
. Also the race car is running around 58 second laps - our group (Wednesday Graduate) was running around 1:06 to 1:15 or so.
I think Tommy Kendall did it in 44 seconds or so in a GTP car.
