2002 MB E55 AMG
New E55
Good morning and hello. I have a 1-week old E55 AMG in Desert Silver that I was able to get due a delivery refusal (can you imagine????). Was looking at the 540 i six when this came along. It's my first non-manual trans car so it took a while to "get over" not having a 5-speed - 3 miles to be exact!

And don't worry if you didn't get the 540i because powerwise that doesn't even compare to the power of the E55. Again welcome at congrats!

Even though I didn't have the opportunity to choose the color, Desert Silver is a standard color for 2002.

The only sad thing is that it is an older model now. I have seen the totally new E 55 with 500 hp in Geneva last week (It was a demo). The car looks wonderful with four exhaust tips,19 inch wheels and huge (huge) brakes. It based on the new E class of course. I have an 1999 E 55 now but during my visit to Geneve I rented the new E class (E-240), let their be no doupt the new E is much much better than the old.

I saw the new e 55 with my eyes and have photos but no photo scanner!! It was in silver. Additionally while am here I saw the same car featured at a magazine called Auto Zeitung with full pictures in German and the title goes like this;
E 55 AMG mit 500 PS. The engine is the same as new SL 55 AMG. The wheels are 18 inch and not 19.
