Reunion time, my baby is just about ready!

Well, after 3 1/2 months of waiting, I'm going to finally get my E55 back. I must say, it's like getting a new car all over again. Looks like the final tally for insurance is going to be around $30k...basically, a new car from behind the rear passenger doors.

I'm still going through physical therapy (I'm on my 6th week) because of lower back/leg pain due to the accident. Getting my car back is a huge step towards closing this incident for good.

Of course, I couldn't just replace the destroyed parts with OEM stuff, I had to go aftermarket. It looks better then ever and I'm happy she's coming home.

I'm heading over to the dealership around 1PM CST to pick her up. I'll post some pics & sound clips (hehe) later in the day. It's like Christmas in August!

A heartfelt CONGRATS!!! I know it must be agonizing to go through (both the therapy and the car withdrawal).

All the best!

Hey, I gotta ask ya. How has your position changed on the "have you been in an accident" lawyer issue. I have always been against that type of litigation, but hearing your constant battle with pain makes me wonder. I feel terrible for ya with the pain. Can't imagine wincing everytime I stomp the Beast....yikes.

Hopefully getting her back will help a bit.

Since the guy who hit me did't have insurance, I am forced to file a claim against my own insurance company (Progressive). They told me in the beginning that they would "take care of me" and that I "shouldn't worry" about the process. But, after I thought about it more and more, the pain that I suffer after I sit stationary for 45 minutes or so in my leg/back, I decieded to get a lawyer. My lawyers will take 1/3 of my settlement, but I don't have to worry about the insurance company trying to get one up on me. If the accident wasn't so bad and didn't involve me going through physical therapy, I might have done it myself...but it's too serious for me to not get a lawyer involved.

Edit: Also, getting the car back is all I've been able to think about the past few weeks. I'm such a car guy that I've been worried about the condition of my car morso then myself. It will definitely "ease the pain" a bit, for sure!

Heh, it's kinda like you AND the beast have been in therapy.

I have this image of the Beast getting up to walk holding on those rails,

Beast, " I....I just can't."

Therapist, " Now just relax Beast, you're not gonna get up and start running right off the bat. The road to a good smoke show starts with just onnnee baby step. Now, take a deep breath through those intakes tubes and try again"
