M5 Build

In case you all are interested, you can now build the M5 on the BMW NA website. Dont mean to stir anything up but I just thought some people might be interested.

So basically what they have done is offer a comparable car to the E55 that includes a 4 year/50k mile maintenance program. Would I still have bought my beast? probably..but had the styling been a liiiiittle bit better, I would have gone the other way.

Isn't the M a more-expensive car than the e55? Note that the 4yr/50k maintenance program consists of 2 A and 2 B services, which a dealer quoted me at a total value of around $1600.00. If that's the case and the M is stickered higher, the AMG's still a better deal. Yeah, I know, helluva rationalization!

Still, it's a little annoying that the MBZ's don't have included service anymore while the competition in that price range certainly does. Guess that DC got tired of paying stealer prices too, eh?

I guess that is a current reflection of MB's confidence, or lack there of, in their products.
