Okay, got a question...

Today wehn I took the cover off the motor (the part with the star) I was looking at the belt and one of the pullies. The belt seems as though it is wearing and you can feel little grooves on one of the pullies (the one circled in the picture). Does your car have this too?

That looks like the harmonic balancer, I would run directly to the dealer since the harmonic balancer can blow your engine up internally if the belt is loose or not seated properly. GO TO THE DEALER TOMORROW.

The grooves on the pulley itself are normal as they keep the belt from sliding around. Does the pulley itself feel loose to you?

No,it's not. I just thought that the grooves were abnormal. Obviously they are not.

I dont have the E55 in front of me, but I seriously think the intercooler pump may have gone bad since the car should have dynoed significantly more than what it did.

I seriously doubt that's the harmonic balancer. In my experience with ALL the cars I've owned (more than i can count), the harmonic balancer is connected to the crankshaft. I'm pretty sure the pulley he's pointing to is the tensioner.

Medici,

You're 100% correct. The pulley he's pointing to is the tensioner pulley. The crankshaft pulley (harmonic damper) is near the bottom of the engine. In the photo the harmonic damper (crankshaft pulley) is at 5 o'clock of the tensioner pulley he's pointing at (it is the one visible with deep grooves in it and you can see the belt wrap underneath it and then come straight up to and over the supercharger pulley).

Cheers,

Darren
