iPod install in E55 Wagon???

iPod install in E55 Wagon???
Maybe Mr. & Mrs. Wolf can help on this one. Does anyone know how involved installation of the OEM iPod adapter kit is in the wagon? My area dealer keeps insisting it requires removing a great deal of the interior; he claims it took one tech 8 hours to install the kit in an E500 wagon! This sounds nuts, given that most honest dealers quote 1 to 1 1/2 hours for the sedan...

the instructions i downloaded from startek were for an E sedan or E wagon. yes, it involves taking a bit out of the interior, but a lot of it pops out and back into place. my dealer told me the mbusa quoted time is 1.3 hours of tech time. i doubt it would be any different for a wagon. if you want to do it yourself, pm me and i'll email you the instructions.

I can chime in here....
I dropped off my 55 Wagon for an Ipod install at my very friendly dealer. My service manager called me a few days later and left me a voicemail saying that it took their tech 11 hours to install the Ipod!! 
I called him back and left a message saying that basically 11 hours was impossible and that I knew, FOR SURE, that 3-4 hours is the billable time for this install. He promptly returned my phone call, saying that he trusts me and that he agreed 11 hours was outrageous but that it did take his tech that long to do it. Although, in the end, he agreed to only charge me for 4 hours.

Silversurfer, do you know the part number for the kit they used? I was told the kit is the same regardless of whether you have a sedan or wagon. Can you confirm this?
