What's your definition of "deal"?

Mercedes of Oakland's price is quite crazy. I am considering "downgrading" our Cayenne S to E500 (somehow my wife falls in love w/ the wagon despite our lemon '03 E55 - and E55 wagon is just too much money to spend for a car right now IMO).

I found an '04 E500 4MATIC wagon w/ 4K miles fully loaded (I'm only not sure whether there's dynamic seat).... asking price is $56/57K. I could get an '05 for that one (there are a couple in eBay except w/o keyless go but w/ dynamic seats).

Just my 2c

Wife has good taste in the E55 Wagon. Its rare, and is faster than the Sedan.

So a demo E55...i dont know bout that. A car thats been floored every day its been at that dealership basically, and revved. Sounds like you may have some issues further down the line with a car like that.

by the way some people on here talk about "breaking in" their e55's, you'd think a car that's been floored every day and revved for its first 500 miles would be better than otherwise!

03 E55
There's no deal on that car. Just because the bidding is only at 50k does not mean that's what MB Oakland will part with it for. The reserve is not met. There are plenty of E55 buyers in the Bay Area....the dealers around here will not leave money on the table...my .02

In the wealthier parts of Sydney a number of older and conservative owners buy AMG cars and when they come in for an oil change after 12 months (1year or 10K miles) the mechanic takes the car for a road test.

It runs like a snail because the owner scoots around in it like it was a golf cart. A car like that takes another several thousand miles to run in because the engine, ECU and injectors havent had any adaptation for top-end running and as a result you have to burn off all of the build-up to get the performance back.

Usually "kids" who buy AMG cars end up reaching full potential on the road due to the reckless and heavy foot.
