That would be SCCA and that definitely doesnt give him an automatic free pass for respect. I mean geez , i raced in SCCA!. Now if you said he raced F1 and his name was Dan Gurney or someone like that, then were talkin a different story. But I do agree with the second part!

Mercedes all the way!
can i get one too? pretty please?

there's actually an SLR sitting in my friend's showroom - but the roads here are such that there's really no point buying it.

oh, and the fact that it costs upwards of US$1 million sticker here doesn't help as well... :p

the guy has obviously been driving his SLR hard - look at the tyre wear!

There is a sanctioning body known as RCCA that is for formula type cars in the NorthEast but you are correct, that does not earn him enough respect. I had both SCCA and IHRA cards at one time and I can tell you that I don't get ANY repsect becasue of it!

HaHaHaHaHaHaHa! SCCA and IHRA are a whole lot easier than a pilot's license! So who deserves the bows now?

That is not tire wear, the tires look like that because they are "shaved" if I remember correctly.

I used to sell Volvo in the early 90's, and we'd loose sales over the damn things.. I hate them. I find the absolutely useless in a car. Trust me, I know how Volvo has changed, the XC90 has no less than 10 of them!

So are her *cupholders* OEM or 'aftermarket'??

TJC

In either case ... this is obviously a model for the American market. In Europe you genrally see a lot less shaving and much smaller cupholders.
