Seriously, even as a "slow" diesel driver I can say its time to BLAST the left-lane hogging PUTZ's OUT OF THE WATER with horns or whatever force deemed necessary!

Well, the horn install is complete. They ended up being able to have the end of the horns be about 8" off the ground (darn near ideal distance). Pointing down for an amazing omni-directional effect. The box that they put the horns and air tank in ended up coming up into the trunk cavity by only about 3". I'm getting a car stereo installer to finish off the trim. These horns are amazingly loud. I had a large SUV tailgating me dangerously last night (highway speed). I gave the horns a tiny little tap and he just slid back about 100 yards. These things can be heard from at least 1/2 a mile I'm certain. I'm not using these to scare people, make the jump, etc. Because of the potency of the horns, I'm only using them for extra security and safety from dangerous drivers/ carjackers.

Good thought. People (both pedestrians and drivers) here in Boston do not obey the traffic signs that much. I guess it would be a useful mod just to "remind" some people of basic traffic laws.

that video is one of the funniest things i've seen in quite awhile! i'm green that you've done this install, and like others have said, it's a great-looking job back there!
with baited breath, we're anxiously awaiting your audio/visual postings of this monster in action. the idea of it alone is a crack-up!

Thanks guys. I probably won't be making any clips of it in action. You can see all of the videos and hear sound clips (Nathan K3) on www.hornblasters.com. If you guys do this mod, you'll probably be set with the least pricey kit that they sell. This one is overkill.

I was on a 6 lane divided highway today. A school bus was stopped in the inside lane honking its horn. I pull up wondering what's going on and I see that all six lanes are stopped for a large dog who won't decide where to go. So the school bus is honking and a couple of cars are honking and the dog just looks around. What's a guy with a train horn to do? Needless to say, that dog is now safe but scared of traffic for life.
We were pulling up next to semis on I95 and gave them the international symbol for honk your horn. They'd do it and then these guys were all crapping their pants when the Benz honked back. They all gave thumbs up though.

Great Now the 18 wheelers will show more respects to MB owners when they're on the road. During my last trip from Wisconsin to Chicago, I almost got pushed off of the highway by a stupid trucker who tried to over take a slower truck. Obviously he had no idea what his blind spots are

I am JEALOUS!
can we say hours of entertainment, at other peoples expense...
used to have a truck with little air horns... was very amused... I am not sure if i could handle to control myself with your set up. Especially on a hot day, when people are out jogging, or sitting at a light along side with the window down talking on a cell phone and not paying attention... KA PLOW! payin attention now!

FWIW, after having this set up for about a month, I would never go without one in my car again. I only hit it about twice a day but it is so awesome to lay it on some suckas who don't know how to respect people in traffic. I can't really unload on random people. If I did that as often as I could, I'd surely be getting into trouble with this thing. Thus far, I've confirmed that my horn can be heard from at least 1 mile away. Its incredible.
