2003 CL55 Kompressor Horizon Blue Metallic
Question on evosport Pulley/ECU Package
Hey all, I have a 2003 CL55 but wanted to post on your side because I've noted more postings regarding mod activity with the E55 over here.
My quick question - I know the brief stumble when the kompressor clutch is engaged is part of the game with our cars (I've done the stop squeal thing already). For those with the evosport kompressor overdrive/accessory underdrive kit, do you notice if the hesitation gets worse, is the same, or is less prominent? I have a thought on this, but it could be one of those things where I'm looking at the facts from the wrong direction.
As an aside ... at 14 mpg that I get from my CL55 (Chicagoland driving), why not have the kompressor engaged all the time? On a percentage basis, how much worse could the mileage really get? Have any tuners taken an approach of engaging the clutch sooner in the RPM range/full position, or keeping it locked and loaded all the time?
Thanks in advance !!!
