97 Turbo S on Ebay
I dont know if anyone else here searches Ebay Motors for fun, but I do when I get bored. Today I came across this prestine example of a 97 Turbo S. Perfect condition and the bids were at 70k!!!! I was going nuts but then I had the idea to scroll down... What I found was that 4892 miles on the car and everything seemed fine except.....
The front bumper, aero spoiler and sub pan had all been replaced since the car was wrecked. The insurance company even claimed the car and put a salvage title on it. Wow now theres the truth.... Well I just thought I would share this interesting find since today seemed kind of dead.
Would anyone buy it by the way. Just curious what you all think of it

Goes to show you how the 993 TT holds it value let alone the S. I saw a 2002 996 TT w/X50 going for low $80K's. MSRP for that car was about $140K.

I have seen the same scenarios with these cars too, I mean with the high prices. I guess the demand for the air cooled 993 turbos is still really high and the abundance of 996 turbos really doesnt help their own prices.
I have seen other 97 turbo S's goin for 110 with no miles and 80 or so with under 10k. This salvage title will definitely plague the car forever and 70k seems a bit steep for a wrecked car.
