Hey, in all the commotion, I do believe we all failed to mention you own the fastest stock Mercedes E55 in the USA. I don't think anyone has hit 11.8 on street tires (no DR's)

I sold my CL55 and left the K2 and LSD in (some lucky owner will think his "stock" car is FAST as heck)

How much you think the Goodyear tyres (aka tires) contributed to the time ?

Did you have any runs before on the stock contis?

don't think the tires helped...i ran a 1.80 short time on the stock conti's when the car was a week old...go to dragtimes.com and you'll see my runs when the car was new.

i've always run the goodyears...great tires IMHO!!

Compare slips something ain't right! 330 the same, 1000ft sub 10.00 seconds. Another slip shows same quarter mile 12.02 et but slower everywhere else????? Is the strip down hill in Texas?

 

simple...look at your 60' vs. mine on the 12.02 pass...yours was much better...i was playing catch up...at the 1/8 you had 7.76...i had 7.83 plus two more mph...i was 7 hundredths behind...at 1000 you were 10.08 i was 10.11...3 hundredths behind...i made up half the time from 1/8 mile to 1000 plus i was 2.5 mph faster. what ain't right?

i'm no bull****ter...i've always been straight. if you don't believe my times meet me at Houston Raceway Park anytime...or anybody else for that matter.

there was a guy their in a black c6 that i beat...he's on the vette forum...nineball his is nickname i think...ask him what happened.

I hear that! I regularly beat the crap out of all my new cars, and have always had really good luck with the engines.

Everyone always says to not drive the car hard during the 1000 miles because it'll supposedely make the engine better. Well i never really believed that and this just goes to show what it can do. My theory is this, if you're always pushing the car doesn't the engine get broken in like it's meant to be driven hard?

 

What kind of car did housclass smoke in this video.

 

Car sure sounds healthy for stock. Maybe its just the lawyer in me?
